Other Business Consulting

I've taken my 20 year corporate career (mostly product management, finance and pricing) and switched gears and now own several small businesses.     A lot of times, I've done pricing projects, and we realize that it's not as simple as they thought it was.   In that case, we may jointly decide to adjust the project to ensure it is successful.

I have a lot of skills that can help you.   Here's some other projects that I've done:

- Business Valuation.   A client asked me to value how much they should pay for a business they were looking at.   They needed an opinion that would help justify their purchase price to a bank who was partly financing the business.  Another one wanted to sell and wanted to know what I thought it was worth in a systemic way that they could justify to their buyers.

- Market Value and Market Segment Adjustments.  Sometimes pricing isn't really the problem; it gets into other factors such as how the product is positioned in the market, and so I've often been asked to dive deeper into marketing plans that could adjust certain product or business attributes to garner more customers, industries or new segments that they're not currently reaching.   In one case it was as simple as a logo redesign, and in another case it was an entire marketing plan that overhauled their entire business.

Strategic Planning.    Sometimes after we successfully help a client with pricing, they are energized to go after another aspect to grow their business.   I can help them figure out what would be complimentary or strategically a fit for their business structure.   This is a good fit for both of us, because I don't need to get up to speed about their business.  I've already spent plenty of time with them to understand it.
